The public transit system in Los Angeles California is supported by a network of city busses, metros and light rail.

The Metro Rail system has six lines with over 100 stations. The lines are labeled A, B, C, D and K.

This system connects downtown Los Angeles to a number of nearby communities:

  • A Line (Blue) Downtown LA to Long Beach
  • B Line (Red) North Hollywood to Union Station
  • C Line (Green) Redondo Beach to Norwalk
  • D Line (Purple) Wilshire/Western to Union Station
  • E Line (Expo) Downtown LA to Santa M
  • K Line Expo/Crenshaw to Redondo Beach

Metrolink is Southern California's regional passenger rail service, connecting Los Angeles with surrounding counties. The central station in LA is called Union Station.

The Metrolink lines are the following:

  • Antelope Valley Line
  • 91/Perris Valley Line
  • Ventura County Line
  • San Bernardino Line
  • Riverside Line
  • Orange County Line
  • Inland Empire - Orange County Line
